You can access Echolink with your radio (if you have a numeric keypad on your radio’s hand mike).

  1. Access a frequency that has Echolink capability.
  2. If the frequency is clear, hit the PTT and enter the “Node.” For example, the “Node” for our 2 meter repeater is 869766. (This is right at the top of the first screen when you use the Echolink app on your phone.)
  3. Once you have entered the “Node,” release the PTT and wait for the acknowledgement of our repeater.
  4. Once that is received, you are connected the same as you are via the phone app.
  5. When you want to disconnect, hit the # key just once and you will be disconnected. If you hit it twice, everyone using it will be disconnected.
  6. Please note that entering the node number for the repeater you are already on will not work. Connect to a different repeater and then enter the node for the repeater you wish to connect to.
